talk in English with western people? Last week, I’ve ever posted about grammar
and tenses, so now I’ll post about example of daily conversation. So, you can
talk with other people in English very well. Hope this will help you.

ASKING AND SHOWING DIRECTIONS

A : Excuse me, can you tell me how to find the Stars
Hotel?
B :
Sure. It’s nearly from here. You just go straight ahead and then turn
left. Then, you’ll see the Pet Shop on the right side. And the Stars Hotel
right beside it. There you are!
A : Oh, I see. Thank you for your information.
B : Alright, you’re welcome.

A : Good afternoon! Where is the nearest drug store?
B : You’ll find the next drug store as you
leave this toll-road, right after you pass the bridge.
A : How far is it to the next drug store?
B : It’s about 2 kilometers. You can take a
taxi to get there.
A : Alright, thank you very much.
B : Sure, no problem.
ASKING PERSONAL IDENTITY
Asking personal identity may
just asked to people that you’ve ever met before or been through by the early
introduce. In this case caused of the western’s culture considered that,
putting some questions which in the personal character when you had the first
met. It’s impolite.

come from, Jessica?
B : I’m from
Japanese, but I was born and also grew up in USA.
A : No wonder
you have a thick American accent, even though you’re Asian.
B : Yeah, many
people are confused about that. How about you, how many children do you have,

A : I have 2
children. My son is Harry and my daughter is Gemma.
B : Wow! They
must be cute children. How old are they?
A : Harry is 3
years old and Gemma is 4 years old.

now. That’s why I came here, he told me that he wants to live here.

yet. But, I’m engaged.

B : Yes, he’s
talking with his friends over there.
FAREWELL/PARTING
A : That was a great party.
B : Yeah it really was. But, it’s getting late
now. I got to go home. See you tomorrow.
A : Okay, see you at school.

B : Hi, John! I’m good, long time no see.
A : Yes, it’s been a while. I heard that
Eleanor is going to get married next week. Are you coming?
A : Absolutely yes. Will you be there too?

daughter.
