Phrase Stuctyre Rules

Hii pals, I’v a promise right? I want to show you about Phrase Structure Rules. And here it is :D
Happy Reading *XOXO*

Phrase Stucture Rules
 The basic possibilities of the sructure of basic sentence of languages may be represented by phrase structure rules, for example :
a.       A sentence consists of a subject and a predicate.
b.      A noun may be modified by an adjective
c.       Every predicate has a verb
There is a lot of controversy about pharase stucture rules and particulary about their universality-the extent to which such rule, and the categories mentioned by such rules, are shared by all the languages of the world.
Sentences
Certainly all languages have sentences , and a more or less traditonal idea about sentences is that:
A sentence is realtionship betwen a subject and a predicate.
A subject, in the traditional understanding, is a noun phrase, and a predicate is a verb phrase. Thus a minimal sentence is a two-part, hierarchical, structure like this :

S = NP  VP
But you can add some Auxiliary and it like this :
S= NP (Aux) VP.

Hereis a main structure rules

The Main Structure Rules :
1.       S = NP (Aux) VP

2.       - NP  =  (Det) (AP) N (PP)

 - NP =     (Det)  N (PP)
Example : The Bus in the yard.

- NP  =   (Det)  N
Example : The Bus

3.       VP  =  V (NP) (PP) (Adv)

4.       PP  =    P  NP

5.       AP = A (PP)
